First Impressions of K'aresh
My very first impression was how
absolutely mind-blowing the sky-box is. I mean, naturally, I'm a total sucker
for WoW's beauty and details, so of course they knocked the
voidy-outerspace-scenery out of this world (literally, haha). Though I'm not
gonna lie, I was a little bummed out that we have to traverse back to
Tazavesh, the Veiled Market. It was one of my least favorite dungeons to run mythics on back in
Shadowlands, and I don't like to be reminded of how stressful that was. I do,
however, find it interesting that we get to explore more of it, and explore it
in-depth, compared to what we couldn't explore previously. Now that it's an
actual zone and city to explore, we get to see the ins and outs of it, explore
around the outskirts of it, and you can even fly over it now. Which, to
me is absolutely wild because flying in a zone that takes place in the
actual void is pretty insane (and intense, especially if you have height fear
issues like I do 😂). I kind of fought with myself last week (the first week
K'aresh was released) over where I should actually keep my hearthstone logged
to, but I finally gave in and saved my hearth to the inn at Tazavesh. There's
a portal back to Dornogal anyway, which makes it easier to travel back and
forth (super convenient!). We have a new cloak -
Reshii Wraps
- to level up, much like the cloak we had in Battle for Azeroth to fend off
corruption. I'm finding it a lot easier to level than the one we had in BFA,
too, which is nice. I also like the design of it!
Favorite Things About K'aresh
Phase diving is really neat. I love being able to travel through the warp pads provided for us across
the zone! I also love that they have treasures exclusive to phase diving,
which I think makes the experience of treasure hunting more fun and exciting.
The scenery is FUCKING PERFECT. K'aresh even includes all three of my favorite colors, and I appreciate
that, alone, very much 😂 💙💜💗 The scenery also makes for some fantastic
screenshots, and if you're anything like me and have a knack for pretty
screenshots + posing your characters, you'll very much enjoy utilizing K'aresh
for that sort of thing. I love the fact that we can skip the campaign if we
choose to, to lessen how much we need to do on alts. Making new content
alt-friendly is the way to go, and they really nailed it on that note. I'm
also excited about the new pets we can tame as a hunter, and I have a few
hunters to bring through that I'd love to have some very character-specific
pets (one of my hunters REALLY loves birds, so this will be a
win for him). I'm also fond of the class buffs and some of the changes we have
across classes.

Things I Dislike About K'aresh ..and Things They Could Improve On
Honestly there isn't much I dislike about K'aresh. I think one thing they
could touch up on is adding in mounting during phase diving because it's
rather nerve-wrecking to have to run across the wastes, unable to make a
quicker escape. I do understand there's an item you can purchase to escape
phase diving whenever you need to, I just wish we could mount up and fly
around. I think that'd be a neat thing. Otherwise, I'm fine with the zone, the
campaign quests, and the ability to skip over the campaign if we're bringing
alts through.
Back in Dornogal...
I ended up completing a couple armor sets with
some leftover
undercoins, and one of the sets I completed for my rogue since I never got the
Nerub'ar Palace
set for him.
